Month: June 2016
More cognitive than physical, even the
slightest embrace evokes images,
emotions, and feelings you’ve been
holding on to. Waiting for the right time.
Days are erased in an armful of years, no
voice is called for, a smile and the tears
say it all. Up close. Wishes and wants
forgotten, or realized. Invaluable,
irreplaceable, and immeasurable, it does
not matter how long, or how strong, or
when a hug begins, or who lets go first.
Important, however, the sensations last
until the next time.

It is your family
that allows you
to see who
you really are.
I am a father.

Daybreak to our precious night,
we travel through time, across cities,
down the streets and alleyways
of familiar landscapes, stepping over
previous mishaps and allegations
to destinations known or uncertain.
See what is there. Short term, longtime,
distances vary. Distractions may
capture our attention, or a new voice,
the imagination. Still we wander
looking for a sign, or the answer, or an
opportunity, never in the same place.
Every day begins an adventure
