life notes; flaws and all

a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

One thing after another,
one thing at a time, always
doing all that is necessary.
Day after day after day,
seven days a week, week
after week, any day, any way,
all that we can, and we can.

Who You Are

When you are comfortable
where you are, you can be
comfortable with who you
are. The world is imperfect,
and so are you; in fact, that
is what makes you you. Our
imperfections form a part
of our character and you are
loved for who you are.

We can become so critical
of ourselves when we don’t
“accomplish” all we set out
to do, or fail to meet “goals”
(self-imposed or otherwise).
In doing, so we neglect our
efforts in making an attempt
or discount the mental energy
it took to get as far as we did.
Sometimes just dealing with
the anxiety of the moment,
or finding a little extra time
in between all the other undue
expectations, is a monumental
task and should be recognized,
if not rewarded. Sometimes
progress is just showing up.
