Month: December 2022
I wish you peace.
I wish you love.
I wish for you
a little more of
whatever brings
you happiness
this day and beyond …

Posted on December 24, 2022 by j.g.lewisLeave a commentI am going to church tonight. It’s not something I often do.
I haven’t been in a while; I’m not what you would call one of the faithful.
I am not even what you would call religious… but I am spiritual.
I believe in humanity, and tonight I want to hear voices.
I want to listen to the choir.
I want to listen to the congregation.
I want to listen to the memories that come with the music, on this night of all nights.
I want to feel at peace.
I want to feel the peace.
I want to believe that peace is possible.
I want to wish you peace on earth, in your world and mine.

A few days away from the everyday,
time off (if you can get it) for reasons
religious, spiritual, or otherwise …
a holiday around a date.
Its significance means what you
want it to mean. Be truthful.
For many it is time with family or
friends; some will travel far and wide,
you may simply stay home.
Enjoy your moments.
Feel the comfort.
Happy Holidays.
