a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

Every word you write is important.
Each mistake you make — typos, grammatical errors, incorrect word usage, misplaced punctuation — is crucial to your writing on any level.
You learn as you go, many times without trying, knowledge gained through acquisition.
   Write on.
Let is out. All those thoughts, feelings, and observations will lead you somewhere. Sentence upon sentiment, you will get there.
If you don’t make a mistake, how will you know how to correct them?
Flaws and all, we are human. Our mistakes make us stronger.

collectively

Divided by differences, purposely
or subconsciously, our bias evident
even when it is not shown.
The distance between Us and Them.
Aren’t we all trying to live through
these moments individually and
collectively? Is it all so necessary?

on the way

At times your vision is blurred.
Your thoughts howl with the velocity of uncertainty.
Sometimes the going gets tough, or you become stuck in traffic on the way to where you need to be.
You stall, or may have to pull over and get your bearings, but you know, deep down, that you need to keep moving forward.
Yes, the weather, your wisdom or wherewithal, may slow impair your efforts.
A detour may send you off in the wrong direction, but you do have the capability of turning yourself around and getting back on track.
You know how to do it, and may need to be reminded from time to time, but you will get there.
   Keep trying.
You are not here to watch life pass you by.
You are here to continue moving at the speed of life.
