Sometimes
what you're
most afraid
of doing is
the very thing
that will
set you free.

We watch the clock
and count the days,
readjust habitual ways,
all in the interest of
keeping up with time.
What if, for a week, we
slowed it down; took it
back to zero ground,
and reclaimed the space
only known as ‘mine’?
Remove the watch
from your wrist, stop
keeping track and making
lists. Measure time only by
moments and not by minutes.
What would happen
without a morning alarm?
What would you miss, what
would be the harm? Maybe
now is just the time to see?
