a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

cloud songs

    We look for, or expect,
movement naturally happening
              in this day-to-day existence.
   We experience what we
   permit ourselves to see.
         Sometimes it is not much,
or we fail to believe the
         incremental, gradual,
                gentle wisps of progress.
        It is all right there,
if you choose to look up.

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

night thoughts 2:07

We lay in
confrontation
of the present
unconditional
commitment
to stay within
the silent self,
breathing amidst
the dutiful noise
reminding us
we are alive.
Each of us
a revolutionary
creature of
habit and pain,
we do not notice
our liberation is
found in silent,
wholly authentic
assumptions
at 2:07.
Could it
be our respite?
