Still in the initial moments of a brand new year, we are all looking forward to, and making, changes in the world around us.
Some of us have even made resolutions to improve ourselves, and to drop old habits or people that have had a negative impact on our being. Some of us have already failed in our attempts, but we continue trying.
That’s how it works. If something is important enough to change, we keep making attempts.
That’s how self-improvement, or self-care, works. Many times it is not one big effort, but a series of attempts to change, to alter, to replace our perception of the self.
We learn by each step, and we falter along the way. We might learn more by our missteps.
We keep learning as we keep trying.
