a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

cloud songs

    We look for, or expect,
movement naturally happening
              in this day-to-day existence.
   We experience what we
   permit ourselves to see.
         Sometimes it is not much,
or we fail to believe the
         incremental, gradual,
                gentle wisps of progress.
        It is all right there,
if you choose to look up.

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

It meant something
to someone at some time.
Now, like poetry, it means
what you want it to mean.
You might not notice.
You may walk by a message
of protest, or pain, or love, or
defiance, or something
someone was trying to say
sometime. Written in anger,
in a hurry, inspiration, or in
jest, in paint, in marker, even
sidewalk chalk. In the now.
Notice how everybody has
something on their mind.
It might not make sense.
Some people express
themselves in ways only
they can. It leaves a mark.
