not on your skin
but across your soul
and deep within
Faith now spoken
without a breath
transcending life
defying death
Thoughts of trust
not as a state
but as a blessing
to seal your fate
Emotions then
a matter of course
provide a
life-sustaining force
To hold out hope
for what is to be
you look and listen
with clarity
For all you know
all you’ve believed
it is not want
but desire you need
