Oxygen replaces
stagnant thought.
We fill our lungs
with the toxicity
of modern life, our
mouths with what
is convenient, and
our ears with idle
chatter and the truth
or consequences of
a society who sees
compassion and
empathy as words
reserved for coffee
mugs and fridge
magnets. We all
want something else,
but tend to overlook
what may be right
before our eyes.
Open your mind
and breathe. . .
exhale more
than you inhale.
