ingenuous lesbian
neither concealing her spirit
nor flaunting an attitude
amidst
a corrupt and callous society
knowing her genius
recognizing her time
will come
but not easily

she knows of those
who have not the courage
or compassion to
accept
what they do not understand
it is not only about sex
but a
greater love beyond
a smaller mind
