a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

cloud songs

             We exist, at times silently,

               comfortable in our invisibility.

                 Unnoticeably so.

             Unexplained.

We so know, or learn, when

it is time to speak up.

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

It is people who mark our lives,
not days or minutes, or events.
People. The people with whom
you choose to spend your time,
the people in the moments you
are reminded of, time and
time again.
  These people made a difference,
somehow, in how you act, or
what you know. You mightn’t
think of them often, or
not enough, but their presence
is there in action, in dreams,
and behaviours.
These are people you learned to
trust, and who earned your trust.
Trust is a hard thing to do, but
those people had it with you.
You know who, or maybe it was
you, who had an influence on
somebody’s life.
  Remember those somebodies,
with gratitude and care, be
reminded of people there in your
memories, perhaps memory only,
but they are there, time and again.
