Throughout the day they
cautioned of rain. Overcast,
occasional sprinkles, but
the downpour held off
until the evening hours.
When it came, it came.
I had waited
throughout the day,
putting off many things
I had to do, not entirely sure
what I wanted. Or why.
A day of suspense.
Very little happened.
We can spend the day
waiting for the rain, but
when the threat has passed,
the caution remains.
