Mythos & Marginalia

life notes between the lines and along the edges

Mondays are just young Fridays

We have entered the annual shopping season.
There are bargains everywhere, special offers, discounts and, apparently, the best deals of the year. All of these enticements are designed to get you to open your wallets and spend money you don’t have on things you don’t need.
It is also time to purchase gifts for your loved ones, both family and friends.
Gifts are always appreciated, but they need not be how we show our love and appreciation.
It’s a good time to take stock of what you need and what you want. If you look closely, you realize you may already have everything you need.
It might be time, in these uncertain times, to make do with what you have.
That does not mean you have to settle, but simply making the most of what already exists.
You have enough; you are enough.
