life notes; flaws and all

a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

Edge Of Reality
Posted on February 13, 2018 by j.g.lewisLeave a comment

How do you find
balance between
this permanent world,
and thoughts
that run like a river
through the mind?
Or is this life like water,
each day, each
drop sustaining the
mood and
the imagination?
Where is the edge
of the reality
you want to know,
and that which
you can only feel?

To know your purpose is to know your place.
Each of us questions, at times, where we belong or what we can do.
Every once in a while, we need someone else to remind us.
Our role is reinforced by others who let you know how they appreciate your guidance, or your goodness.
It’s nice to feel needed. You come to understand you are there for them as they are for you.
There is a valuable lesson in knowing you are not alone, but you do need to remain self-sufficient.
  Your place has a purpose.
  You need to remind yourself.

All That It Is

Acceptance may be stronger than love.
It’s not just the here and now, but the right then and when you face struggle and uncertainty.
This is when you need the strength to accept what you have for all that it is.
