Maybe this Moon
with the power it bleeds
will illuminate more
unnecessary violence
and greed.
Maybe this Moon
has memories
it simply cannot forget.
Some of us will relate
while others regret.
Maybe that Moon knows
what it is all worth
and sets an example
for those looking up
from this earth.

All of us carry
the same courage, yet
we are not often called
too use it.
We are not all having
the same experience.
Each of us has our own
wisdom to explore.
Breathing
or disbelieving, we
are all here, trying
to muster what it takes
to draw from
our own well.
If you
come out of this day
with nothing more
than your humility,
you have done well.
That is enough.
