Month: September 2018
The shelves in the hall, stacks on the night table, and corners of the heart, are filled with books.
Books mark our lives, at any age. Words fill days; time measured in sentences, paragraphs and chapters, as we sink into silence and serenity with a book.
Books inspire, books inform, and books enlighten.
Books matter.
Books take you away or take you within. The value of a book goes far beyond the price tag; your personal worth increasing with each page read.
Words take on new meaning as you expand your vocabulary, broaden your mind, and deepen your range of emotions. Time with a book is time with a friend.
Take the time today.
Read what you need.

return to the earth, our souls
become grounded.
We step forward,
colours and conscience adjust
along our path. Time shifts.
We become reacquainted
with the Moon.
Through movement of days,
we recognize that shadows
and light, and people,
will disappear
with each revolution.
We gather new possibilities,
embrace old truths, and are
reminded of what is important.
Autumn does not
have to change everything.

for the light to find it’s way.
Time still hasn’t changed.
Cool breeze sneaks through
a crack in the window.
You might find comfort.
You may still feel weary.
Every morning you do
what you have to do.
It is not easier, even if
the light is softer.
Whether you’ve paid
penance for the day before,
there is always something
waiting outside your door.
