This is, or should be, the season of peace. It is also a season of giving. Christmas is a time of sharing with friends and family, and in our efforts to find the right gift for those we love we venture to the malls and markets. It is busy out there right now; commercialism runs rampant. We are a society of consumers. It is, or can be, overwhelming. We often confuse the value of the gift with the price tag. In the spirit of giving, we need to remember it is the thought that counts. Think of what is important to you. Think of what we really need. Think, above all, of peace, and of love, and understanding. Make it meaningful. You cannot place true value on the things that are important.
