Month: April 2019
Our landscape
ever so grey. Lifeless,
boring, ever so plain.
Our mood is altered.
We need the rain,
a common cry, we need
the rain to cleanse the sky.
This cold dark earth;
we need the rain
to nourish our soul
and give us flowers again.
We need the seasons.
We need the rain.

APRIL IS POETRY MONTH
breath believe receive
Colourful, or, at times,
nonsensical, the poetry
that stains our landscape
is a reflection of where we are
as humans, as consumers, as
believers. Or not.
What we choose to see, or
decide to ignore, is still there.
That we choose to believe
is another story entirely.
Poetry speaks; poetry breathes.

APRIL IS POETRY MONTH
open your eyes and breathe

Our lives are filled with
familiar patterns and shapes.
A record and a clock
are both round. Coincidence?
Each sphere marks time
on this earth, music marks
our place. Drop the needle,
the circumference of an album
greater than minutes and
seconds of pleasure.
A turntable stands still,
everything else moves.
Emotions in motion, seasons
flowing round and round.
Circle of life: play on.
