Month: February 2020
Today is Family Day in Ontario and that makes this a three-day weekend. I like those numbers. The weather is supposed to be sunny and warm (or not as cold as it was) and it might be a good day to get outside with your family.
Mondays are just young Fridays, except holiday Mondays; then they get even better.
Today might also be a good day to call faraway family; those you don’t see enough, or speak with enough, even think about enough. Today is the day to close the gap. It might even come as a surprise, but it will be worth it. It always is.
Family Day.
Enjoy your day.
Enjoy your family.

Posted on February 16, 2020 by j.g.lewisLeave a commentWe have come through a few days of bitter cold, harsh winds and enough snow to remind us what winter is or can be.
Fortunate now, the unkind seasonable temperatures have mainly disappeared (in Toronto anyway), and the snow is either melting or has melted. The inconveniences of a few days past are now of little concern.
Still, we worry and watch the forecast; winter is as wicked as it is unpredictable. But, with February now half-done, is there really much of winter left?
Winter is a state of mind.
Warm thoughts.

cannot take you anywhere
you don’t want to go.
Inhale, then exhale
all from within.
Your breath may, at times,
be hesitant and life will
certainly provide moments
that leave you breathless,
but sometimes that is good.
Other times
you may need a minute
to sit to and catch your wind.
Breathe and see all you can be.
