Mythos & Marginalia

2015 – 2025: a decade of days

What Winter Is

We have come through a few days of bitter cold, harsh winds and enough snow to remind us what winter is or can be.
Fortunate now, the unkind seasonable temperatures have mainly disappeared (in Toronto anyway), and the snow is either melting or has melted. The inconveniences of a few days past are now of little concern.
Still, we worry and watch the forecast; winter is as wicked as it is unpredictable. But, with February now half-done, is there really much of winter left?
Winter is a state of mind.
Warm thoughts.
