a decade of days…

Unintended lapses in judgement,

latent mistakes, broken promises,

even common forgetfulness will

leave a hangover.

Dwelling on these impositions or

untimely faults will only delay any

progress you hope to make.

Don’t let yesterday use up too much

of today.

You have tomorrow to consider.

It doesn’t take long
for nights to blur
into months
or years,
or beyond.
Fractured thought,
a broken timeline,
then barely
a fragment of
a second,
or
nothing at all.
Do you remember
what was there
before?
Memories often
disappear
just like that.

your choice

Everyone seems to have a way of doing things or expects that things should be done a certain way. It is not always the way you think it should be done (often it isn’t) if you had a say.

Best then, to go your own way on this day (and going forward).

Follow your own logic. As misguided or meaningful as it is, it is (and should be) your choice. Only you know what is best for you, therefore you should do what you are going to do, as you choose to do it.

It is best that way, any day.

it’s personal

A journal is a personal statement of where you are, a reflection of where you have been, and often an indication of where you are going.
  Within our journals lay scattered thoughts, random scrabble, unanswered questions, potential solutions, unsatisfactory results, deliberate intentions, and living proof of the life we are leading.
  The scratchy handwriting is more than perception; it is our personal history as it happens; mindful expression of where we are in the moment.
  As we progress, as we evolve, our thoughts may change and our minds may move in different directions, but through it all we maintain a tactile, permanent record of our achievements and adventures.
  The longer you keep a journal, the further you will go.
  It takes commitment, yes, but the dedication is solely to your self.
  Couldn’t we all do with a little more time to ourselves?
