an unbearably uncomfortable
night; it’s more than insomnia.
Oppressive humidity intensifies
heat aggressively heightened,
the heaviness of it all deprives
our mood. Denying resiliency,
awaiting relief, seeking shade
for a soft soul. We are wilting.
