a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

We can’t always roam where we want, or travel where we need to go.
Our destination, at times, is uncertain. The path we are on is not always clear. Roadblocks and detours, access denied or prohibited, alternate routes, even our speed is dictated or controlled.
We are all just trying to find our way.
We all need to get somewhere.
Patience is often required as we try to keep moving forward.
   Where will you go today?

crucial mission or message

I’ve been thinking a lot about peace lately.
I always do this time of year — usually referring to December as the season of peace — but given the conflicts and chaos around the globe, my thoughts are running deeper.
We need a deeper peace, everywhere, at this time. I keep seeing the signs, but I’m not feeling it like I usually do.
   I need to try harder.
Each of us needs to do what we can to foster peace, promote peace, acknowledge peace, or live in peace where we can, however we can. I know it sounds overly optimistic, but we need to try.
Love thy neighbour has never been a more crucial mission or message.
Familial love, spiritual love, physical or romantic love, or friendship, has never seemed more important to me.
To you I offer peace and love in whatever form you will accept it. .
I give my peace to do what you can to make today a little better than yesterday.

what could be

Believe in the coming day, the opportunities that will come, and the generations to follow.

What is now is not what will be, and all we had is only a shadow of where we were.

Evolution happens, no matter how well, or how poorly, we are prepared. If we have not readied ourselves for the times ahead, we may well gain a more meaningful experience by simply maintaining a spirit open to the expansion and contraction of our lungs, and allowing our eyes to wander.

If we only look straight ahead, we will certainly miss out on uncertain wonders, necessary distractions, and our true potential.

Breathe and see what could be, and let others notice exactly what you are.

Celebrate the darkness, and the light, that will guide you through another year.
