Have you hammered out
the time-honoured dents
from cosmic collisions,
covered up the rust and
body scrapes of incidental
accidents, and washed
the bug splatter off your
cracked windshield?
Is your karma clean?
How’s it looking ahead?
Glancing in the rear view
mirror won’t do you, or
anyone, any good. Those
miles are all behind you.
Be gentle with yourself,
be kind to others, help
out when you can.
Drive on. You’ll get a
little further doing right
than righting wrongs.

Sometimes you are surprised
by where you are. Other times
you can be surprised by what
is there. Take a good look.
Always be open to surprise.
