We have all been a little preoccupied by this virus thing.
We’ve spent more time at home than we have in years.
With all the social isolation and physical distancing, our wanderlust has been clipped.
Travel has been restricted, but not the mail.
Send me a postcard from home.
Tell me something about where you live; a little-known fact, something significant or another thing you think somebody needs to know (maybe even a secret). Perhaps a poem, limerick, or haiku. . . tell me what home means to you.
Don’t just send a card; send a message.
Postcards will be included this October during homecoming month at mythosandmarginalia.com
During October, contributing writers will offer impressions of home, where it is and what it means to them.
Postcards From Afar is intended to add a global perspective and make this planet a little smaller, and a little closer.

What will you do today?

What are your intentions?

Look up.

Today will be exactly
what it is: another day.
We have many days in
a year and more in a
lifetime, so it is really
an inordinately small
amount of time in the
grand scheme of things.
But today, like yesterday,
or tomorrow (or even
last Monday) should be
acknowledged for the
day it is or day it will be.
Today is a good day to
have a good day, and I
am going to do exactly
that; I think you should
too. It’s Friday, almost
the weekend, so it’s truly
a good day for a good day
(and tomorrow too).

details right away;
circumstances such
that it takes time
to explain who
and why someone
had to die.
Never is it pretty.
Someone
was killed last night
in the city.
