Waiting for the fruit to ripen. Taste of anticipation, a recipe from a friend: Mango and Black Bean Salsa. All those flavours, each and every ingredient contributing to the mix. It seems so simple. Perfect for barbecue season. Plenty of chopping ahead. Summer delight, when the time is just right.
No appointments today, no plans at all, all week actually. It is not like me to have nothing to do, and it’s not like I planned it that way. I now have all this free time to explore time to myself. Think of the possibilities.
When the path changes, you can change with it. Where you are going is often not where you planned and you may not remember why; but you will remember the changes.
The current blood inventory is below an eight-day supply. Canadian Blood Services needs a regular stream of committed volunteer donors to make, and keep, their appointments. It takes about an hour.
One hour of your time could save someone else’s life.

Unity, or diversity, does not mean conformity. Each of us owns hopes and dreams; they belong to us individually, just as we all belong to this country. Our views are different, but this country is the common bond. Celebrate where we are and who we are. Accept the differences in yourself and others. We all share the same sky. Happy Canada Day.
