This first week of summer has been watermarked by almost never-ending rain. Yesterday the precipitation stopped, for a while, but this morning it is back again. The view outside my window is disappointing at best.
In between the downpour and drizzle, I’ve been trying to complete a task. Watching the sky, as much as the forecast, I’ve been planning my time around the predictably unpredictable.
Progress on the necessary home repair been waning, as much my interest. The interior portion of the work has been completed for days. The project is now endlessly stuck between almost done and not completed.
Realistically, there is not a lot still to be done, but it must, And I can’t.
Yesterday’s thought of maybe today have been dampened by a night of severe weather, and the weather app shows there is a lot more ahead of me. Damn.
Already a week into summer and my to-do list has been placed on hold. If it weren’t for the rain, this particular task would be complete, I could move onto the next planned project.
Until it gets dry, I can’t even try.
