Are you doing okay today?
How did you do yesterday or the day before that?
Still too early to ask?
Have you had your coffee and done all those things you need to do to prepare yourself for the day? Are you ready for the week ahead?
Best to go day by day.
Sometimes it takes time.
Other times, time is not kind.
Are you caught up in a rush or tangled up in reflection?
Can you see your way to make it through another day?
Another week?
Remember: day by day.
I’m trying.
Perhaps that is all I can do.

it must be observed
to be felt

uncertain arrival
you do not notice

until you do

infrequently unfortunately
tucked into the chaos

and global squalor

it comes to you
from time to time

often when
you need it the most

remind yourself
peace is important

acknowledge what you can
when you can

however you can

reposition your
disposition

what is ahead?

The next step, the next day, the next season, or next mistake; what is to become of what is now (or what has past) when we rely mostly on hope and happenstance?

   What we choose or how we chance, do we plan (do we know) what is ahead in this vast expanse?

   Progress happens in increments and so often we are caught unawares. Do we trust; do we dare?

   Something is sure to happen, it always does, but is it a natural occurrence or is it up to us?

We often admire what we see relative to what we have witnessed before.

A sunset or bouquet of flowers, not one in the same, each different than the previous; perhaps you will call it common.

Still, you look for the beauty.
