Of course it’s not easy,
it is not always fair. Injustice,
insults, the weight that you bear
that you bear defending yourself
before unmitigated ignorance,
unfair attitudes, and unknown
opposition.
Push back against what you define
as wrong.
Stand up for your beliefs
no matter how inconvenient.
Make the struggle worthwhile.
Patience and persistence
is rewarded in time.
