Knowing is only part of
the saddening experience.
Learning more complicates
the facts of the matter.
Our ever-present humanity
is unhesitatingly interrupted.
We need time to truly feel;
only time allows us to heal.

how we see it
It is how you look at all that is going on.
Perspective.
What we see, and how we see it, can be as baffling as it is rewarding.
We need the light to shine into the deepest crevices, yet in the darkness we are more likely to find the solutions that often escape us. We are forced to look harder to see even the obvious.
Will you follow the light into those darker spaces?

one word
It’s only a word.
One word, and often it is the
first you speak to someone,
anyone, even a stranger.
It is a useful word, for it can
be a welcoming word, or one
of acknowledgement.
It is a word that only asks the
same, and is easily satisfied.
It is accepting of a simple
response or, with a hello, you
never know where it will lead,
or how far it can go.
