We need the light to shine into the deepest crevices, yet in the darkness we are more likely to find the solutions that often escape us. We are forced to look harder to see even the obvious.

It’s only a word. One word, and often it is the first you speak to someone, anyone, even a stranger. It is a useful word, for it can be a welcoming word, or one of acknowledgement. It is a word that only asks the same, and is easily satisfied. It is accepting of a simple response or, with a hello, you never know where it will lead, or how far it can go. We could all use another hello.
