Mythos & Marginalia

life notes; flaws and all

  • arbitrary illusions

Daily we make up our lies with
    pieces of the truth, indemnifying
    ourselves from the current reality.
    Hesitancy takes time, various stages
of indecision come back to hinder.
    Arbitrary illusions provide a depth
    only the imagination will grant.
    Seize the moment, the inspiration,
    in the obvious unaccounted for.
Can you face up to the falsities?
Time heals all wounds, but only if
you loosen the bandages, only if
you believe you have been hurt.

  • cloud songs

     Every day is practice
       for something larger,
               or more
                           specific.
      We go about the hours
      uncertain of anything,
          except the fact
                 we are here.
           It is as temporary
          as it is purposeful.
             Learn as you go.

  • time to define

    How can we decipher
    messages not intended to
    be understood? Spoken or
    implied, there must be meaning
    in the recurring madness,
so much so that we fail to notice.
    It happens. Mixed messages.
    It becomes routine.
    The everyday ambiguity
    is ominous. Where is the
    clarity we once expected? Who
    has time to define
    what they mean, when we
    obviously do not comprehend the
    questions, let alone an answer.
    We cannot think clearly,
if they do not speak clearly.

  • your own thoughts

    your thoughts change
              different thoughts
                   varied thought
         minute to hour
                             day by day
               your own thoughts
               your own way
               you own your thoughts
               your thoughts can change
                                    or change you
                 change your thoughts
                 change your mind
                 change your ways
                 change with time
                       take time for thought
                       change of thought
            sometimes a thought
                              is all you’ve got

  • know more

    Knowledge comes in many
    forms. In seeking answers
    we often question the norm.
    Mindless trivia, useless facts,
the kinds of stuff you simply
have to ask about; all the little
    things you wonder and bigger
    things that matter. You know
you want to know more, you
    have to know. It’s curiosity.
